It's hard to believe that this summer is coming to a close! Although the majority of students head home for the summer, PCC's campus has still been an exciting place with plenty of events and with hundreds of students who stayed here to earn money, have fun with friends, and keep things on campus running smoothly.
Thank you to all who voted and to all who submitted pictures this semester.
The winners for the spring 2014 photo contest are Michael Nelson (animal photos), Marvin Posas Bautista (ice day photos), Zach Thompson (off-campus photos), Ryan Gill (on-campus photos), and Caleb Tyndall (sports photos).
Everyone is voting nowadays. We don't know who first invented the idea of voting, but it was brilliant. We know we would have voted for it! We like to vote because it gives us a voice in a big and opinionated world. And we don't just like to vote on our politicians and legislation. We vote on the smallest dog at the pet show and our favorite breakfast sandwich at a restaurant; we even vote on how we want to vote.
Well, it's that time again to put in your own vote! We want to hear your voice in the contest for student-submitted photos.
Once again, it's that time of year. I like to think of it as "competition season." The spring semester at PCC can get very competitive for many students. Freshman nursing students are competing for the highest grades to stay in their program (one of the reasons we have such a great nursing program), while others are striving to win the Vision Scholarship. Elections are held for many offices on campus; collegians, classes, and the student body will dub new presidents, choristers, and chaplains for the upcoming year.
