The Lean Green Printing Machine

You know how we were always told as kids that someday we would learn to love all the gross stuff we had to eat--like mushrooms and steamed spinach? I still don't. So glad to have finally debunked that myth.

It is true, though, that we limit ourselves by never trying new things. Like shortcuts, Microsoft Excel, Crocs, and--my personal favorite--Nutella. We often don't ever get to enjoy things, simply because we just never bother to try them!

Such is the case for some people on campus with our new printer kiosks. Recently installed in the residence halls, these printer kiosks give students the option to "print on the go" as they are running to class.

Of course we all heard how to use them when they first were installed, and there are directions online. Still, I can't tell you how many times I've been asked if I know how to use them.

That's when I realized...I'd never even used one myself! So I marched over to the girls' residence halls to figure it out.

It was extremely assertive of me and took about 2 minutes. I suggest it for each of you.

A nearby friend walked me through the steps, and I snapped the photos below for those of you who are, like me, pretty visually oriented.

Printing kiosks have been installed in some residence hall lobbies as well as on the 1st and 3rd floors of the library and in the Commons.

Students may select to print from Dropbox folders and Google Drive as well as their own USB, their student e-mail, and their personal computers.

Pretty self-explanatory, right? So take advantage of our "printing on the go" convenience, and try out a printing kiosk near you!
