Lady Eagles Defeated Falcons 66-50 Last Week

Two weeks ago, the Pensacola Christian College Lady Eagles fell to Florida College Falcons 58-57 at home, dropping them to 13-13 on the season.  Last Tuesday (Feb. 26), the Eagles bounced back and defeated the Falcons 66-50, claiming their 14th victory of the season.

Earlier this season, the ladies broke a school record or the most wins in a single season.

The Lady seniors—guard Anne Conway (5'4"), guard Karen Kendall (5'7"), forward Candace Coleman (5'8"), and forward Jenny Mitchell (5'9")—played in their final regular season home game Tuesday, led by head coach Jared Sellars.

Earlier in the year (Feb. 15), junior guard Ashley Antuna (5'7") led the team with 21 points in a 62-33 win over Welch College, an average night for Autuna, who has scored 23 and 29 points on different occasions this season.  Antuna appears primed to lead the team as a senior next fall after such a successful junior campaign.

The Lady Eagles finished the season with a 14-14 record after earning their first playoff appearance in school history.
