What’s the Big Picture?

Guest post by freshman Cassidy Bertrand

Have you ever been so consumed with doing what you think is God’s will for your life that you forget the little things in life also matter?

Recently, I've been questioning what exactly is “God’s will” for my life.

It's a question so big, so uncertain, and so overwhelming.

What I forget is that it doesn’t matter if I don’t know what God wants me to do four or even ten years from now. The future is full of uncertainties and yes, it is scary, but God doesn’t want us looking to the future!

God is the author and the finisher—He knows your future, and He's had it written from the beginning of the world.

That being said, live for now. Live for what you do know so you can better prepare yourself for the future.

You got this if you have Him... because He is all you ever need.

So let go and let God work through you in the little things. When you check off a million little things on your "list of life," the big things won’t seem so overwhelming.

That big picture is now!

Soon now will be then and the future will be now. Wait on the Lord, and He will renew your strength.
