Places to Go

My 3 Favorite Local Coffee Shops

Honestly, coffee and writers is a cliché, but coffee and college students? That’s expected.

If your schedule doesn’t have a seven- to eight-hour block of time allotted for sleeping, chances are you drink a lot of coffee. (And if you just really don’t care for coffee, chances are you go straight for the hot teas or hot chocolates.)

There are three places in Downtown Pensacola that are definitely worth checking out for a change of scenery.

1.) Constant Coffee and Tea

This coffee shop feels familiar, like spending time in your grandparents’ dining room. Right outside the coffee shop is a fenced-in terrace area shaded beneath some trees. Inside feels calm and organized. It’s a quaint place with a light atmosphere and great coffee. If you prefer a quieter location to sit down and enjoy a sweet cup of Bees Knees (a coffee sweetened with honey), this would be the place for you.

2.) Bodacious Brew

This coffee shop offers indoor and outdoor seating, as well as seating on the second level. The place prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and various methods of coffee brewing techniques. This place makes you feel like you’re in Seattle. Bodacious Brew transports you someplace else for the time you’re there.

3.) Fosko Coffee Barre

This coffee shop has a classy feel to it with brick and brass everywhere. It’s built a reputation for their crepes and coffee. Sometimes having something to eat can help your studying go a little better. Want a place that can serve coffee and satisfy your hunger? You’ve got it right here.

Obviously, there are other places in or around Pensacola that you could go to “reset to factory settings,” if you will, but if you don’t know where to start, try checking out one or all of these coffee shops. You may find a new favorite caffeinated beverage.
