A Sneak Peek at PCC

When I attended College Days in high school, one of my favorite parts was being able to ask students all the “college questions” that were on my mind.

  • What’s it like to have roommates? (check out Aspen’s post!)
  • Can you really get from the Academic Center to the MacKenzie Building in just 10 minutes? (Surprisingly, you can make it anywhere on campus in just 10 minutes!)
  • Is it hard to register for classes? (No, especially if your upperclassman roommate helps!)
  • How much time do you have to get involved with extracurricular activities and still concentrate on school? (You always make time for things that are important to you.)

When we had College Days last fall, I was able to lead a tour for those interested in studying English. Not only did we visit several different grammar, literature, and Bible classes, but we also had an informal Q & A session on our way to each class.

As college students, we quickly become used to the college schedule, lingo, and traditions. This basically qualifies us as tour guides to those checking out the college. I enjoyed being able to meet new people, discuss my favorite aspects of PCC, and share why I decided to attend.

So if you’re a student and you’ve never led a tour before, I definitely recommend it! Even if you’re not the most outgoing of people, you won’t want to miss out on the experience.

If you’ve never visited the college before and you have college questions like I did, consider attending College Days in March or April to see PCC in action!
