The Power of Prayer

At the beginning of each semester, it's become routine for me to look at all the things I need to do within the next four months and feel overwhelmed. There just always seems to be too much on my plate. Without the Lord's help, I'm certain that I would never be able to get it all done!

I don't know what's going on in your life. Maybe everything's going well. Or maybe you're like me, facing something that seems somewhat overwhelming. Or perhaps you're facing something even bigger, something that you don't know how to ever overcome.

No matter what your situation might be, the Lord is always there. Any time you might need Him, He's just a prayer away. Isn't it amazing that a prayer is all we need to do to come before the throne of the Creator and Ruler of the Universe?

In my opinion, one of the greatest things about PCC is the many opportunities it provides for students to pray. Not only is prayer a part of chapel, class periods, and church meetings, but students also have a chance to bow the knee before God at meetings such as Mission Prayer Band, Homefront, and Prayer Group to name a few.

Throughout this semester, I plan to focus several of my blog posts on the many opportunities for prayer at PCC. Also, I want to make things a little more personal. Throughout this semester, I plan to commit more of my time to prayer. Would you like to do the same? Would you be willing to dedicate at least a little more of your time to communing with your Lord?

If you are willing to make that commitment, why don't you come along with me this semester and see what the Lord has for us! I don't know where this journey will lead us, but I do know that the Lord will use it for His glory!
