The Future Looks Good

img_8709As a junior, I have to start thinking about what comes after college. A few years ago as a high school senior, I had to think about what came after high school. It is a never-ending pattern of "What happens next?"

You might be trying to figure out the same thing. Well, have no fear because Alex's wisdom corner is here!

Many of you may not know that my plan after I graduate here is to hopefully go to law school. There is a law school in Washington D.C. I am dreaming of going to, but since it is very prestigious, I consider it a long shot.

A few weeks ago, I took the LSAT practice test here on campus. The LSAT (The law school entrance exam) is a conglomerate of analytical and logistical thinking questions that make you really think about a situation, the way you would have to if you were in a courtroom. Anyway, so I took the practice test, and while I didn't do that great, I also didn't do terrible (granted I didn't study that much for it).

I used to be super stressed out about what comes next in my life after college. It would literally keep me up at night panicking about what I would do if I didn't get in. The future is scary—I'm not going to lie to y'all—but it's also this wonderful mystery that is going to be even more amazing than we ever imagine. The moment I stopped stressing and gave it to God, I felt 100 times better. So here's my advice to you folks. Don't stress, eat some pizza, and give it to God. He's got you.

Honestly, right now, I don't even know what I am getting for lunch or dinner, or how I am going to figure out this math homework (mortal enemy). But I will tell you what, folks: whether we know what is going to happen in the next hour or year, knowing that God has this amazing plan makes it all worthwhile.

The future looks good, guys. Enjoy it.
