Just Keep on Sowing!

If you read my biography, you'll see that my favorite PCC tradition is Christmas Lights. However, in all honesty, I'd have to say that I love Missions Conference just as much. It's amazing being able to see what God is doing around the world, and who He is using for His glory.

One thing that really moved me during the conference was Pastor McBride's message on the sower in Matthew 13. If you were to sum up the whole message in a sentence, it would be, "It doesn't matter how good you are at evangelizing; what is important is that you are constantly sharing Christ with the lost." Now, I wonder what would happen if we all were to take this message to heart. What if we actually lived our lives this way?

I would be the first to admit that I am not the greatest at sharing Christ. I lead a Door-to-Door ministry, yet still I can get tongue-tied, forget a verse, or mix up an illustration. Perfect speech isn't our goal in evangelism—it's planting the seed of Christ in the hearts of those who need Him.

So even if you aren't called to be the next great evangelist, you can still do your part for God's Eternal Kingdom. What are you waiting for? Step out and witness to that person at the mall. Attend that Christian Service you were considering. Encourage the friend you know is hurting. And most importantly, pray: "For with God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).
