College Life

Steadfast to the Last

steadfastWell, what do you know? We're almost there! In less than two weeks, classes (and finals!) will be over, and we'll all be heading home to spend Christmas with our family and friends. It's definitely something that every one of us is excited about.

That being said, I am going to ask of you a tall order. Focus. Yes, I know, it is not easy. From the senior itching to complete his last fall semester, to the freshman homesick to see her family after her first semester being away from home, every single one of us has a "good" reason to be distracted from doing our best as we complete this semester.

Remember, there is a reason why you are here: to get a college degree. Don't let these last 14 days damage all the hard work that you have put into the semester so far. Stay strong - there will be time to rest and enjoy your family and friends. But now is not the time. With the Lord's help, we must face finals and be prepared "to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield." (Alfred, Lord Tennyson, Ulysses)
