Music and Grass

What better way is there to spend a Friday evening than sitting on the grass enjoying music with friends?

Many of us had arrived early to save spots on the grass for the PCCymphony's first Concert on the Green. The sun was setting, which made the sky turn a bright blue and orange. The temperature had cooled down considerably, and a light breeze had picked up, making it a great improvement from the rain that we have been having lately.

When I looked around, I was thrilled to see so many students show up for the event. The field was full of excited chatter as we all waited in anticipation of what was to come.

concert 1All dressed up in their finest, the PCCymphony filed into their seats and began to warm up their instruments. The crowd seemed to quiet down.

Finally, the first notes were struck. Smiles and laughter followed as we all watched and listened with enjoyment as the PCCymphony played.

It wasn’t just the onlookers that were enjoying this performance.

If you looked closely, the musicians seemed to be enjoying themselves as well, some tapping their feet, and others smiling during rests. Even the director was having fun, waving his arms a little wider and smiling away.

The first Concert on the Green was a delight to be a part of. I can’t wait until the next one, that’s for sure!
