#throwbacktothankfulness

Every Thanksgiving, I hear something along these lines:

"We need to learn to be thankful ALL year, not just Thanksgiving!"

Well, here's our chance. Smack in the middle of April, and right before final projects and tests here on campus, I can't think of a better time. So let's #throwback for a moment, even though it's a little mainstream. (anti-mainstream is mainstream too now, so every stream is mainly going somewhere these days).

Let's throwback to November, when students were posting simple things on campus they were thankful for with #simplespeaks. Here are some screenshots of what they came up with!

That was about five months ago. But what about now—today? Did you thank Him for anything? Did you look away from yourself and your circumstances enough to get a clear picture of what He's doing in the here and now? And listen to this:

"Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving." (Colossians 2:7)

I love that!—"abounding therein with thanksgiving."

Take another look at life today—the simple and ordinary, and take a moment to realize it and thank the Lord specifically!
