Hold On Tight

As I walked to class the other day, I noticed tendrils of ivy growing on the ramp to the second floor of MacKenzie. When I looked closer, I realized that the ivy was not cultivated there on the concrete wall. The ivy had found any tiny crack in the concrete in which to put a root, stubbornly holding on through a hot summer, rainstorms, and Pensacola's winds.

Something that is worth holding on to may not be easy to hold on to. The place where we are called to be may not be the easiest place to stay. But we can take a lesson from the ivy—hold on tight!
