A New Age, a New Summit Yearbook

I had the opportunity to work on the Summit yearbook staff throughout this past year, and on behalf of the Summit staff, I am pleased to tell you about the 2013-2014 interactive yearbook! A lot of time and effort was put into this book, but it's finally in print and in the hands of our student body. Putting the yearbook together has been so much fun. Just a few days before distribution I got a sneak peak at the yearbook, and it has been so hard keeping everything a surprise. I'm just so excited that I don't even know how to express it!

Photos with the Summit logo, seen here in the bottom right corner, connect an app to special features.

Because this is PCC's 40th anniversary book, we wanted it to be special. We wanted the student body to be able to not only look back on their year here as students but also on historical years of the college. By downloading a special app, scanning the QR code (which connects the app to our yearbook), and hovering a smart phone over photos that have the Summit logo, this yearbook comes to life! Photos and slideshows from the past student bodies, as well as sound clips, really add to the experience and memories of this special 40th anniversary year!!!

This is the 6th yearbook I've worked on, if you include high school, but I especially count it an honor that I got to work on the Summit staff this year. This is definitely the coolest yearbook I have ever seen, and I'm so glad I got to be a part of producing it!
