Places to Go

My Own Little World

Explore. This is one of the first words that came to mind when I reached Pensacola. I wanted to see the area. I like to visit the sights and wonders of new areas I’m in, and coming as a freshman to PCC, I wanted to visit the surrounding scenes and sights. Now as a senior, I am still exploring this vast city and have still much more to see!

I was impressed by the rich history and culture in Pensacola. There has been much Spanish influence in the architecture of the surrounding buildings in the city. Sometimes it’s just nice to walk around in the middle of the city and explore these works of art. There are even a few old military forts in the area as well.  Those are awesome: big cannons and big bunkers. The forts are definitely some of my favorite places to visit. There are many spots rich with history—it's kind of like a history field trip.

“Go to the beach”—that’s what I wish I could put down on the calendar for every Saturday. White sands, blue water, and the occasional shark are some of the things I have seen. (Just kidding about the sharks.) It's a very relaxing place to visit. This is one of the main places that is just a wonderful example of God's wondrous creation. I am thrilled that I am able to experience it!

So what are you waiting for? Get out there and experience Pensacola. Explore!
