Things to Do

Christmas Lights!

For me, Christmas has always been filled with tradition. There are the traditions of baking Christmas cookies, decorating the house, listening to Christmas music in the days leading up to December 25th, and shopping amidst the Christmas decor. While those are all traditions I miss while away from home, I am so thankful that here on campus we have our own Christmas traditions. From hand bell performances, collegian Christmas caroling, Christmas hymns in church, a banquet, and even a Christmas program, PCC is an exciting place during the holiday season!

While I love all of these traditions, my personal favorite tradition here on campus is Christmas Lights! I’ve been to only one Christmas Lights program, but I absolutely loved it. It is exciting to see everyone take a break from their busy schedules. Many get dressed up in Christmas hats and winter scarves and enjoy a great time with friends out on the Varsity Terrace. The spirit singers lead in singing classic Christmas songs while the student body can choose to sing along, have fun with friends, or eat their picnic lunch that the school provides. It is just an all-around great time!

So for those of you on campus, come on out tonight at 6 p.m. Grab your Christmas hat, picnic blanket, and some friends and prepare to have a fantastic time singing along to some great Christmas classics!
