Lady Eagles Will Host Welch College on Friday

On Friday evening at the Sports Center, the Pensacola Christian College Lady Eagles basketball team (10-12) will host the Welsh College Lady Flames (7-9).  Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the PCC Sports Arena.

Earlier in the season (Jan. 12), the Eagles lost to the Flames 67-58 on the road.  This week, Pensacola will be looking to gain a third victory in a four-game span.

A week ago, senior forward Candace Coleman (5'-8") helped the Eagles defeat Wesleyan College at home, 53-37 while leading the team with 17 points.  After Friday, Coleman and the rest of the Lady's seniors will have three home games remaining (against Bob Jones University and twice against Florida College).

The men's next home game will be played against BJU next Friday (February 22) at 7:30 p.m. at the Sports Arena.  Overall, the men's and ladies basketball teams have combined to go 23-24 this season.  On Friday, the Lady Eagles will look to help the team reach .500 (24-24) overall.
