College Life

A Life Lesson from Acts Class

Acts 2:28 “Thou has made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.”

I found this verse while reading through Acts for my Bible class, Acts. When I read it, God’s peace washed over me and I knew that He, the Creator of the entire universe, had a plan for little ol’ me.

In college, you will make some of the best memories with your new best college friends, but you will also be challenged and pushed until you think you cannot go another inch. But God is there. He has a plan for your life, and He is using these times in your life to strengthen you and make you into exactly what He needs you to be.

Not only will God give you direction in your path, but He will also give you joy. Every situation might not be ideal and you will be tempted to become extremely frustrated and possibly bitter, but if you allow Him, God will give you a peace and a joy to get you through any difficult thing.

You can also share that joy with others. Nothing is better than seeing a smile on someone else’s face and knowing that you helped put it there. Spoil those around you. I mean, you don’t have to buy them a car or anything, but drop an encouraging note by your friend’s door, send a text reminding them how thankful you are for them, split a coffee, or share a donut. These may seem small to you, but you probably absolutely made their day!
