Keep Your Head Out of the Clouds

“Life is hard; and then, you die” was a motto my high school principal always said.

It is true, though. In life we go through an abundant share of trials and tribulations. Last semester may have killed your GPA—how will you respond? There are two ways you can respond: quit or continue. Many times we just quit or drop out, and that is not how a Christian should live. We get bogged down and surrounded by clouds of doubt, clouds of discouragement, and clouds of demanding academics.

Wayne Gretzky said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Quitting is not an option. We have to continue. The Bible says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Rom 8:37).

Give this semester’s obstacle to the Lord and conquer it this new year. Once you get your head out of the clouds, you can truly see something amazing on the other side.
