Future Students

Diverse Yet United

Hi, I'm Cory, a junior history major and one of the new Campus Post bloggers. At the beginning of this semester, I had the privilege of being part of student arrival services. Working at the check-in desk for new students, I was able to meet many of the incoming freshmen as they arrived on campus.

As I helped these new students get checked into college, one thought struck me - how diverse we as students seem to be. We have different personalities: some of us are giddy and outgoing, while others of us are more reserved. We also come from a multitude of ethnicities, countries, and cultures.

And yet despite all of these differences among us, we all still have several things in common. The first is that we have faith in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins and then rose again. A second thing we have in common is that we have all chosen Pensacola Christian College as the next step that God can use to grow us as Christians. Maybe we're not so diverse after all!

With that in mind, let's make the most of this semester! While all of us students will be busy with classes, sports, performances, and other extracurricular activities, we should not forget our main reason for being here - to grow closer to God. I challenge you this semester not only to get good grades and make great memories, but also to get to know God better. I am sure that you won't regret it!
