Are You Waiting on God?

On Wednesday evening, Dr. Frank Gagliano of South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, Tennessee, presented to us a great message from Psalm 27: 13, 14.

“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."

As you go throughout your week, think about it. Are you taking the matters of life into your own hands, or are you waiting to see goodness shine through His will and way in your life?

I absolutely love this passage! It has been my verse for the school year, and it has been an awakening experience for me. It is a great thing to think about though. Without Him, we can do very little. We need to wait on His direction and guidance, so we can do what He wills us to do.

I didn’t understand actually hat he is trying to saying by “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD: be of good courage and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD”.But I must say I live this lines.

This passage is very real to our family. In 2011, a “normal” sugery went bad and I ended up having 3 surgeries in 8 days. That led to 80 days in the hospital; 13 of those days in a coma. Four doctors told my dear wife I would not survive. My 3 daughters, one of them being Emily, the writer of this blog, and my son waited on the LORD. They “believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” And they “waited.” On day 13, God touched me and i woke up. God is good. It is good to be “in the land of the living.” 2 years later, I have zero medical issues. God completely restored me. All Glory to His Name!
