Future Students

Ten Dollar Tuition?

So it’s finally November.  That means that we have less than two months of school left!  Although it doesn’t seem like there is a lot of time left, we still have the whole second half of the semester—and with it there are plenty of exciting events to look forward to. One of those events is College Days.

College Days is a unique opportunity available to prospective students.  Students who are interested in attending Pensacola Christian College can come to visit the campus, stay in the residence halls, attend classes, and see everything that PCC has to offer.  You would think all of this would cost a fortune, right?   How about $10?

That’s right.  For ten dollars, any 10th-12th grader can stay in the residence halls, visit classes, see the campus, and dine at one of PCC’s cafeterias.  Yep.  You heard me right.

When is College Days?  November 23rd-25th.  If you would like to stay until the 26th, it will cost $5 extra—but that’s still a great deal.  It sure beats a hotel, right?

College Days is all about experiencing college life.  You’ll have a chance to catch a glimpse of what it’s like to be a college student.  By staying in the residence halls, you’ll know what it’s like to live with roommates for a few days.  It’s a great way to meet people and make connections with students if you are thinking about coming!

If you are planning to attend College Days this Thanksgiving, I have a few tips for you:

  • Attend classes!  This will give you an opportunity to see what school is like at the college level.  Pick classes that are of interest to you.  If you would like some personal suggestions from me, feel free to ask in the comments section below!
  • Turkey Bowl!  What is Turkey Bowl?  It’s the soccer championship between the top two collegian teams at PCC.  The game takes place on Thanksgiving Day, so make sure you work up a good appetite by cheering the teams and enjoying all of the festivities.  After that, turkey dinner!  And to top it off?  Come watch PCC’s dramatic production of H.M.S. Pinafore.  I’ll be playing a sailor in the play!
  • Pray.  Before your visit to PCC, prayerfully ask God to help you with your college decision.  Few decisions in life are more important than where you decide to go to college.  College can be an amazing faith-building experience—but it can also be a place where all of your beliefs are torn down.  Where you go to college is a serious choice!  So why not ask God to help you decide?

I hope that College Days will be a blessing to those who visit this November.  When I visited PCC for College Days four years ago, it made a deep impression on me.  I made friends, I saw the amazing campus, and I caught a glimpse of the Spirit on all of the smiling faces.  So if you are pondering the decision to visit for College Days this November, be sure to come and see everything PCC has to offer!
